What steps are involved in a Nature’s IVF treatment?

Before Nature’s IVF (also known as INVOcell™), patients will undergo pre-cycle testing at our office. Once candidacy is determined, a woman will be given a specific dosage of fertility drugs to stimulate egg production. On the 10th day of the cycle, a sonogram will be taken to establish when the egg retrieval should occur. When the eggs are collected, they will be combined with a sperm sample and placed inside a special device, which will be inserted into the vagina. In contrast, traditional IVF involves using an incubator in a laboratory to foster fertilization.

After a five-day period, one or two of the highest quality embryos will be transferred to the uterus. Any remaining viable embryos will be frozen for future use.

Is the procedure complicated?

When compared to traditional IVF, Nature’s IVF is simpler. The dosage of medications remains constant throughout treatment, with no need for adjustments. Nature’s IVF only requires one sonogram and few other office visits. Alternatively, traditional IVF requires multiple appointments, often on a daily basis.

What are the success rates of Nature’s IVF compared to Traditional IVF?

The success rates of both procedures are similar in many respects. A study demonstrated that traditional IVF yielded a live birth rate of 60 percent, while 55 percent of Nature’s IVF treatments resulted in a live birth.

What makes Nature’s IVF more affordable than traditional IVF?

Traditional IVF requires a significant amount of time dedicated to multiple visits, hormone assessments, medication adjustments, and sonograms. The cost of these procedures can add up quickly. Traditional IVF also involves extensive use of an incubator, which requires careful monitoring incurring a variety of fees.

A study found that traditional IVF yielded a live birth rate of 60 percent, while 55 percent of Nature’s IVF treatments result in live birth.

What are the candidacy requirements for a Nature’s IVF treatment?

Many patients who are eligible for traditional IVF are also candidates for Nature’s IVF. Patients with damaged or blocked fallopian tubes, issues with ovulation, or endometriosis may benefit significantly from Nature’s IVF. Men with low sperm count or low sperm motility can often find success with Nature’s IVF. However, couples with severe male factor infertility may be better suited for traditional IVF.

How long does a single Nature’s IVF cycle take?

A typical cycle is completed in approximately three weeks. As with other fertility treatments, it is important to note that Nature’s IVF often requires more than one treatment cycle before successful pregnancy is achieved.
